Yippee! the Christmas season is here and I am now off work until 5th January! I have finished all my Christmas shopping and am now relaxing at home trying to get my festive 50 top albums of 2005 together! This is very hard work! Plenty of coffee required..

Seen some good shows this week.. Weird War on Thurs night was great, first time I'd seen the great Ian Svenonious (sic) live after being a big fan of both Nation of Ulysses and The Make up, so good times.

1. Low - The great detroyer
2. The Arcade Fire - Funeral
3. Duke Special - Adventures in grampohone

after that I am still sorting!! Will hopefully have it finished in next couple of days.

Am going to see The Human League tonight - very exciting!

Am also contemplating a new record player....

Sunday afternoon.. lazing around. Went to football yesterday which was great as we won. Had chance for a quick look in Selectadisc record shop in Nottingham and bought the first Drive Like Jehu album on vinyl.. am now not buying any more records before Christmas..

Was going to see The Fall tomorrow night but they have cancelled.. Sleater Kinney have also cancelled for the week...

Went to see a friend from work's band last night.. Chapter 13.. pretty good show just in a local pub. Chris my friend was very cool on keyboards. Music isn't exactly to my taste but they do have a handful of very catchy numbers. They are hoping to have a support slot with the Super Furry Animals confirmed for the new year.

Well Autumn has arrived and it keeps raining! Also had out boiler pack up this week so have had to biol kettles and pans to have a bath!! Means getting up earlier for work than normal.. bugger.

Been to London today .. but no time for record shops.. still going up to Nottingham for football tomorrow so will visit Selectadisc and purchase some new stuff...

Work work work!! Continues to be harsh at the moment..

Weekend saw acquisition on the Sonic Youth Goo deluxe CD and an old Judee Sill LP.. good buys!

Also Nottingham Forest after losing 6 out of 7 games have now won two matches on the trot!! Awesome!!
