The insomnia pills did shit all. Atleast I got a good sleep last night after meditating for a while. I'm going to bed shortly because I have work at 7am tomorrow
I've just started being a freezer girl at work rather than slaving at the checkout. I really enjoy it and Jan, the freezer manager, is pushing for me to be full-time next year. The boss advertised the job and told me outright that he wanted a guy to do it. Sexist bastard. Sure, there's heavy lifting but I'm stonger than I look. I don't know how many people have asking me if I'm coping or if I can handle the heavy lifting. Fuck them, just because I'm short does not make me a weakling. The heaviest I have to lift is size 5 turkeys, and that's not particularly heavy.
On the flipside, little old ladies keep on coming up to me and asking if I can reach stuff high up on the shelves. I'm 5 foot, what the hell do they expect? Usually I just climb up.
And now a Christmas wish from me. If you're out shopping in the next few days, be nice to the poor people slaving away in the store doing their best so you can do whatever last minute shopping you should've done ages ago. It's not our fault if things aren't in stock, you should've been there sooner. It's not our fault the queues are reaching to the end of the store, we're only shut for one day, do you really need to stock up for two weeks worth of groceries?
Eftpos (is that just a NZ thing? It's the debit/credit system) went down today. I so hope it doesn't tomorrow. It goes offline and we can only put through 100 transactions per lane before the computers die. Customers can't get cash out and they can't buy more than $300 worth of groceries. People get shitty, I tell you. I'm so glad I'm not on checkout tomorrow.
Ah, this is becoming my substitute livejournal. I ramble too much (and to no one really). Bed time.
