i finally got a chance to sit on a session today.
it was a live radio broadcast of a small classical ensemble. it was really cool i got a tour of WFMT chicago and WTTW chicago's studios. i saw more equipment today than i will ever see again haha.
so anyways. i got there and started to set up all the mics and shit, and as me and my professor get back into the control room, we start RIPPING into the announcer guy. he was the lamest mother fucker i have ever heard. he was so cheesy and would bring up the absolutely most retarded things. His interlude and introductions for songs made NO sense. haha. it was lovely
i got to watch the faders and the two-track while she went and got some paper work done. so i techinically engineered a LIVE radio broadcast on a national radio station!! now.. i am not a radio guy, but its nice to know i worked well under pressure.
oh.. and i got VERBAL credit live over the air!! my parents were listening in, and went NUTS. my dad taped it so now i have something for my portfolio!!
finally!
