rocking out in the shower

singin at the top of my lungs, all splish-splash goofy in the hot water.
It could probably be anybody's shower. Today I'm alone in my manager's apartment listening to KBILLYs Super Sounds of the Seventies. My Manager, she's such a sweety, letting me have free rein of her facilities.

I guess I should back track and explain how today became such a good day....

It probably started early in the A.M. as I washed up on the shore of some closed bar.
Though the haze of booze and indifference, an angel floated down from the heavens and guided my car through night. We passed go. We collected $200. She did all my drugs and I slept like a baby.

I woke up today in just the right way.

I was in the neighborhood so I called a friend. We met for breakfast. Just in time to soak up all the poison in my system.

My first pedicure ever. Matching toe nail polish and a massage chair. What a treat, thank my dear.

My first drink of the day, a glass of champage, it must be past noon.

My first time on the cable car. I've lived here my whole life and it never occured to me.

Shopping downtown. I'm going to need some underwear at some point today. I'm kinda not sure what happened to mine. Stupid Angels.

Now it all comes together in the spray of hot water. I'm sure I was upset about something a few weeks back. The effects of the broken heart still linger although I've almost forgotten her name.
Lesson learned. Never love another.
I'm much better off as an apathetic alcoholic in someone else's shower, smiling at the glorious gifts and gratious good luck that I find at my manicured feet day by day.

Great! Did you ever get Human Drama? I talked to Johnny I. on the phone and he was lamenting over the fact that he hasn't achieved the notoriety he set out to achieve, and was pretty much planning on throwing in the proverbial towel. But that was actually a few years ago.

One man's pain is another man's obsession. Our dreams are fragile, like velvet soft skin and red lipstick stained nightmares. I know, it doesn't make any sense, to anyone but me. It's an attempt to show some compassion to the dying race of humanity. smile Other than the obvious, how are you?
