I've always been a fairly simplistic person. I tend to keep my worldly possessions minimal, my living space clutter free, and my mind clear. The idea of minimalism and a minimalist lifestyle has been intriguing to me for years now. I feel "stuff" can be a burden and wear you down. I'm not about status or giving a shit what others think about me. I'm happy and confident in my own skin, body, and spirit. I've dwindled down my possessions each time I've moved in the past 8 years or so. (And I've moved a lot) My family and friends tend to think I'm crazy for not wanting things. But I honestly feel more ALIVE and FREE with less! The idea of living out of a backpack, vehicle, (I have a VW Van) or on the road in nature, and friends and families couches makes me smile. I've dealt with a lot of death in my short time on this earth, and one thing is sure. We are all mortal and will one day die. Life is too short to waste it in some office/ factory ect. working god awfull hours slaving away to pay bills, just to turn around and buy things we really don't even need. I feel we've all lost control of our human instincts in life. Go outside more and witness the beauty of nature! Spend more time with the ones you love! Become a better human being by helping others! Think positive thoughts, and don't dwell on the negativity! Love life and be love! This has been a bit of a ramble, sorry for that. Haha.
I went to see HER last night. I absolutely loved it. Not going to say anything more about it, wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone wishing to see it! Go check it out and report back to me. I also watched a favorite of mine this morning. Into The Wild. It fits perfect with my minimalist blog post today. I love the fact it's based on a true story. Brilliant cast, and cinematography. If you've never watched it...STOP what you're doing and go stream it on Netflix right now! Cheers everyone!
