Ladies and Gentlemen and Those Who Prefer Non-Gender Specific Honorifics... one year ago today, this very special lady came into my life: my gorgeous circus lyra, Gwendoline. She's the lyra I've been dreaming about having ever since I started doing aerials, and just recently she had her debut in a professional venue at Oberon in Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA (see pic of her being rigged there) for an act that Cheryl Pedersen and I created. So, Happy First Anniversary to Gwendoline... with thanks to T Lawrence-Simon for giving me the technical specs I wanted her to have, Phil Servita of Flying Squirrel Consortium (http://flyingsquirrelconsortium.com) for making her hoop, Patti Miller of Aerial Animals (http://www.aerialanimals.com) for making her ropes, and to the wonderful instructors at Esh Circus Arts in Boston and Aerial Fit in Charleston, South Carolina who have hosted Gwendoline and instructed me on her.
