We're all quite fucked up when you stop to think about it. Once you can accept that you are going to have moments of insecurity, or irritability, or depression, or selfishness, or neurosis, or morbid reflection, you find that you don't feel so alone in the sea of humanity that surrounds you. We never stop to question moments of happiness, or love, or excitement, or inspiration, or serenity. We just accept those feelings and move on with our lives. Which brings me to my point: those feelings, both "good" and "bad", are what make us human and what triggers them is what makes us individuals.
It seems to me that the thing that keeps people from feeling normal is obsessing on the "bad" feelings in a misguided effort to "fix" them. But feelings aren't bad or good, they just exist, like the weather. When you've had enough rain, you go inside, no?

but yeah, wow. it was definitely fun.
and i agree with you - everybody has control over their own happiness, sometimes it's hard to see, and even harder to do, but it's ultimately their own to control.
