I don't like Rob's first two movies. I am a huge fan of the Halloween franchise.
I LOVED the new Halloween. I'm happy that Rob changed it. He added something new. I like that he made Michael more human and less supernatural.
I am trying to put a theory as to why he killed in the first place. First, is most likely to gain power and authority over the people who hurt him (or kept him a imprisoned). Second, I think Michael thought of his baby sister as the only pure thing in this world. And perhaps as the only person that could help his killing nature. So he may had been seeking her help and comfort. Thus making the characters met along the way not worthy to him and deserve death. I don't understand why he didn't kill the sheriff's daughter, though. And I keep hearing about a rape scene. I don't remember that.
I'm sure the first couple caught their deaths because they were in the Meyers house. And that more than likely reminded Michael of his sister and her boyfriend.
