I got a call from my step mom at 0800 this morning telling me my dad's colonoscopy went well and they didn't find any cancer. I got a call an hour later from my sister stating the doctor overlooked part of the scan and they found a cancerous tumor outside of the colon right where his initial tumor was found. So... My dad's stage 4 colon cancer is back.
When the doctor that told my dad they didn't find any more cancer came in and told him he made a mistake my dad, who is a 6'4" 240 lb retired Navy Seal, stood up from his chair and the doctor ran out of the room. Hahaha! I would have LOVED to see that. They brought in 4 VA police officers when another doctor came back in to talk to him.
Hopefully they caught the new tumor early enough to remove it.

I LOVE father stories like that..My Pops is very big as well and very intimidating! A few years ago his gal bladder blew up to the size of a football and burst...He went into sepsis and his gal bladder/liver were very infected. He was in ICU for 2 weeks, it was really difficult and really scary but it brought all of my family together!! I hope your Dad will be okay, keep supporting him and be strong! If you need to talk to someone who had gone through similar things feel free to message me <33
