My boss came by my desk and said I have some good news and some bad news. I said Okay, whats the good news? She said Im going to approve that pay raise you requested. I said Really? Wow that IS good news. Thank you. She said Youre welcome. You earned it. I said Okay, so whats the bad news? She said Well, due to low earnings last month, we need to make some spending cuts around here. Sooo you know that raise I just gave you? Im going to have to take that away now.
