This will probably sound really weird, but I thought of you randomly a couple of days before you reappeared on here. Just popped into my head!
Also, I wanted to say please don't blame yourself or feel guilty about not being there when your mother passed. I have had nurses tell me that so many times a patient will be holding on and holding on and then when their family member leaves to go to the bathroom or get a snack, they will pass. It's like they want to spare their family from seeing it, and it's happened with three people I have known. I'm positive your mum knew how much you love her, and she knew all the wonderful things you did for her.
