I know -- that seems really strange! What's up with the peeps in California? What are they afraid of by allowing gay people to marry? We've been thru this here in Oregon and we were allowing gay & lesbian couples to marry for a while, like, about 3 months, I think. Then someone in the legislature realized that the proper political channels had been exercised to allow this to happen and rescinded the marriage capabilities of G&L couples. Not to mention that they voided the marriages that had already taken place, HUNDREDS of them, stating that they were not "legal" due to the improper steps that had been taken within the Multnomah County government. So!

No only did they prevent additional couples from marrying, but they revoked the couples who were already wed. Can you imagine being told by the government that you spouse.......suddenly isn't your spouse? It was a huge clusterfuck and it's kind of a "too hot to handle" issue up here. What a mess! Just let these people get married already! What's the danger!?!

I know dude. It fucking sucks. While I'm glad Obama is in office, I am seriously bummed out about Cali banning Gay Marraige.
