I have been to many "Battle of the Bands" in the past 6 years or so. Last night I went to Battle at the Hangar. Out of 10 bands only 3 were actually good metal. It seems to me that Metal is dying out and this Hardcore crap is coming strong. I wish Dimebag was still with us!
The parades never end in New Orleans, Louisiana ! The St. Patrick's Day parade ran on Sunday(rain included). Excessive amounts of green beer and drawing on people with a green sharpie for the foul of not wearing green. This weekend the Irish/ Italian parade which i will be riding in. GREEN!! (in case you didn't get enough)

Holy Crap!!! The "Music as a Weapon" tour is finally coming to New Orleans. Some of the bands playing are : Disturbed, Killswitch Engage, Chimera, Bury your Dead and some others I can't remember right now. Should be fucking incredible!!! If you hear about this show coming to your area go see it!!!

The first weekend of Mardi Gras has passed. In Metairie (just outside New Orleans) they celebrate Family Gras. Lots of food a big stage and some family entertainment.
