today I got a great surprise - Maxx and Gwen bought me a piercing of my choice for my birthday. Which reminds me - I am officially logging my protest of the traditional birthday song and suggest replacing with my favorite:
thiiiiiiiiis iiiiiiiiis yoooooooour....
birthday song, it isn't very long!
Carol is still squeamish about me getting my nipple pierced, so I'm going to vie for an Industrial. It really made me think, though - an open invitation to pierce whatever I wanted (the approximate wording of the present)...ah, the possibilities.
Tonight we saw Comedy Sportz at the Tamarind Theater - great show, as always. Also, as usual, there was no parking (seeing as how it was a Saturday night in a reasonable 'hip' part of Hollywood) so we parked in this almost-empty lot near the theater that had one restaurant left open in it. After the show, we return to the lot and find it's been locked up- well, sort of - there's no lock, but there's this grimy coat hanger that's been wrapped in all sorts of impossible ways around this thick chain, connecting it to a post and blocking exit. We ask a guy who stands quietly off to the side if he has anything to do with the lot, and he tells us that our car's going to get towed in ten minutes. We ask if we can open the gate, and he says 'help yourself, since you already helped yourself to it'. I unwound the coat hanger while Carol started the car and drove it out of there.
I spent maybe fifteen minutes rubbing my hands together in the car trying to get the nastiness from the coat hanger off. weird night.
PS had to cancel playing Tetris with Maxx because it was late and, as it turns out, not on the way home as we had thought.
