metamorphosis

today was full of ups and downs. it was a little bit warmer today which was nice. and the sun was out, so freyja, that little dance of our's must've worked! i went out to the barn to ride, but i'm so fed up with my bitchy coach that i don't have fun anymore. she likes to make people feel like the horse shit in her boot treads. i've trained too many horses for her to be able to convince me that i'm no good, but people deserve more respect than that and i'm fed up. the only reason i keep teaching lessons out there is so that the kids who are just learning how to ride get the chance to learn to love the sport before my coach ruins it for them. people don't learn by getting put down when they need encouragement the most. she sucks.

i got my hair cut and that was a high point of the day because my stylist is SO cool and i love the cut, it's fun. it's the same style as before but shorter, but you can't really see it in my current pic anyway... i'll work on getting a new pic. then came my exam. i studied so much and thought i would do good, and one look at the exam told me otherwise. i was crushed. i'll be surprised if i pass. i wanted to scream and cry and run out of the room.

so that had me really depressed for a good couple of hours until i talked to my friend mike from home. his roommates [also friends of mine from high school] have a snake [a redtail boa, just like solomon] that they are looking to get rid off. they don't take good care of her at all, and they just don't want her anymore. people make me sick, they get animals as a novelty and then don't want to accept the responsibility of taking proper care of them. so guess what? i'm gettting a new snake!!! YAY!! well, i shouldn't get so incredibly excited because it isn't a done deal yet, but it's about 95% sure. sad thing is, she's in pretty rough shape and is going to need a vet visit [$$$] and LOTS of TLC to get her up to par. her name is georgia and she's a big girl... about 9' if i remember correctly. she'll dwarf my 6'4" solomon! but the females always get bigger, and solly isn't done growing yet.

well i didn't mean to write a novel when i started this, but today was a long day. luckily, the rest of this week should be smooth sailing. emphasis on SHOULD. still haven't heard anything about the "perfect job" i interviewed for a few weeks ago, so i'm calling on thursday if i haven't heard by then. then on friday, i get to go home. *phew* i think i can, i think i can, i think i can.....
