I made a post yesterday but I guess it didn't go through, oh well it was a rant about how the bus drivers of this city seem to put their anger out on others who don't deserve it (happened to me three times)
Tomorrow is another week of work, I spent the good week in training, I got two more days of training then its off to doing it. Apparently I dont think I have pissed off anyone yet .
I really do need this job but in a way I suppose if the job does fall through I will seriously consider moving back to Alberta. It was my two only friends here that kept me here but after yesterday it fell through for reasons I don't really now why I suppose the fact that the person ditched me n going to Bruce Springsteen with me would be a good sign.
Regardless of being very angry with that person when I talked to them again i tried to be as honest as possible but still not trying to make a bickering out of it, I am not in the mood for arguments anymore, they settle nothing. But I guess Billy Joel was right when he said honesty is such a lonely word. For the fact that that person as easy as that erased me out of their life. Makes me wonder if I should have just gone out and said everything without holding back, it probably would have made the same result. In a way I seen this coming and it will probably be better for me in the long run. Only thing now is I only have one friend in this city, well one I hang around with, the others I would just say hello to now and then. Vancouver has gotten way to lonely ad depressing for me unless I can find something else other than work and blind ambition to keep me here. Going back to Edmonton just means I with just one other friend again since my other friend that lived in Edmonton moved to Red Deer, so again stuck between one friend here, or one friend in Edmonton.
My plans for filming in two years have also been shunned when I found out that I wont be getting as much overtime as I hoped I would and chances are i will make roughly the same amount of money there as I did last year only difference less amount of hours to get there, which is good, taking I even survive. So I suppose if SFU does come around and i get accepted I will probably take it.
There Will Be Blood comes out on Tuesday you bet your bottom dollar I will get that, even though I don't like Boogie Nights or Magnolia, I LOVE punch Drunk Love and I have a feeling this one will be a bit like it. That and Daniel Day Lewis is an awesome actor. The week after is Juno, I still haven't seen it but since I am a fan of Ellen Page (way before all this Juno stuff put her in the mainstream), I am sure it is good anyway.
Alice Cooper is coming to Vancouver, this time I hope to not miss him. If things still go well I might just order a whole bunch of live shows
Nightwish
Gigantour
Iron Maiden (only if I have the money to burn since paying 100 bucks to seem them is ludacris regardless of it being Maiden, I learned my lesson with Springsteen)
Alice Cooper
Still dont know yet, but how was the Springsteen concert?
Despite going alone it was great I did get greater seats than I thought, trying to sell them is hard because its behind the stage but when you are there you realize you got a better seat to the stage than most of the people on floor or anyone else, its just the fact that you see the back of their heads most of the time but there are monitors above.
Springsteen did put on a hell of a show but now i know what a Vancouver rock crowd is. I remember reading a Nickelback interview when they said that Vancouver crowds are usually still and just spend their time sitting down and watching the show while smoking joints. I have only known an Alberta crowd mostly for the fact that we love our rock and Nickelback said the same thing. Probably the fact that Vancouver gets 50 times more live acts than all of Alberta gets can count for why when a good show does come to Edmonton we appreciate it.
Iced Earth my favorite metal band the band that will probably succeed AC/DC when they kick the bucket just released some new samples for their single coming out in June I think. With their "original" singer back (Mathew Barlow) yeah I know they had two singers before Matt but any Iced Earth fan knows that Matt is the true singer for Iced Earth. While I did enjoy Ripper Owens in Iced Earth, Framing Armageddon & The Glorious Burden were two good albums but aside from the extremely fast aggressive songs Owens is pretty bad at the slower or melodic stuff, his voice lacks emotion. Listening to the few samples one new one and three re-sung Matt just blows Owens out of the water (the songs are the slower or melodic ones) because Matt's voice while not as high as Owens it has alot more to it and a whole lot more emotion I am very happy Barlow is back. I hope Owens second album with Beyond Fear kicks major ass, Owens regardless is a under rated vocalist.
I would definitely like to see Barlow sing a few of the songs Owens did like Framing Armageddon, Ten Thousand Strong, Motivation of Man, Attila, Red Baron/Blue Max, and the Gettysburg trilogy. Hell why not all of them. I know they got a live album they want to do soon this would be a good time to find out. That or whenever they come to Vancouver.
I hope my reservation for singing lessons go through for this afternoon I haven't went in 2 weeks. I want to know if I would be ready to actually do something other than exercises. For the longest time I have been thinking of starting a band. I would love to either start a hard rock band (AC/DC meets Motorhead meets Billy Joel, yeah laugh if you want) or of course a Power Metal band (Iced Earth, Blind Guardian). Even though I can do high notes to save my life (or any that sound very good). I already have band names for either.
Well I will shut up now I got to get ready and go to the library and pick up some books and stuff.
