^This man took part in the first battles of WWII in North Africa. After being wounded, he was taken prisoner. His legs were all jacked up, and it took him a long time to recover (and still has issues). Towards the end, his camp was being relocated in Germany when a Soviet column came upon them and freed them. What a great day it was to be able to escort him around the base.
