So this weekend I played in NJ Nam 2009. It's NJ's largest paintball scenario and it's one of my favorites. I have played it and even ref'd it years past. Simply put, it was intense. This year I was the medic for the American side and I had a shit ton of fun. ( www.phenixpaintball.com )
So if you've never done a paintball scenario before, most of these events have players as Medics. Our job is to run around to players who have been shot and wipe off their shots to "heal" them, and then they are back in the game. This time, though, we had a MASH unit. We carried around two long ass PVC poles that had a red cross on a flag and that was our station. Players had to come to me so I could wipe the shots off and write down their player number, then they returned to the game. As the MASH unit, I could only go as far as 2/3s of the playing field, but I was always in the action.
My efforts to keep the players in the game paid off, big. The American side beat the VC teams 610-240. In the end, I was awarded with the MVP for the American side. They all recongized the shirtless tattoo'd maniac on the field. lol. I'll have pics up when I get 'em.
This weekend I am going to my old place of work to play in another event called Biowars. It's interesting, thats for sure. Check it out ( www.skirmish.com )
