As some of you may or may not know, I'm a part of the Berkeley chapter of the National Organization of Women (NOW). We're currently raising money to go to Chiapas, Mexico next year to help a women's organization. One of the ways we're raising the money is by selling items through The Emancipation Network.
The Emancipation Network, TEN, works to fight modern day slavery by empowering trafficking survivors and those at high risk of being trafficked. By purchasing these handicrafts, you help these women and children earn a living wage and support the shelters that care them. A small percentage of your purchase will be put towards Berkeley NOW to help us go to Chiapas!
The crafts are beautiful and unique and would make amazing Christmas gifts for your friends and family. Please visit http://shopping.netsuite.com/madebysurvivors and MAKE SURE TO ENTER COUPON "Berkeley06" WHEN YOU CHECK OUT!
If you want more information on TEN, visit http://www.emancipationnetwork.org/.
