@caraphernelia To give a bit of background, I grew up watching A New Hope, Empire, and Jedi religiously. Chewy, Han, Luke, and Leia were friends. That being said, and avoiding spoilers; it is a Star Wars movie, however, I've come to the conclusion for myself, that it is a family movie. It is for parents and their children. I'm not sure if my expectations have changed, or if it didn't connect with me in the Star Wars way, but it left me a little depressed. With all of that said, I enjoyed the plot and the direction, but it didn't speak to me like some of the previous films and that is 100% OK. I know things change, and that movies aren't meant to cater entirely to me, but it doesn't make it less depressing... if that makes any sense.
