I was wondering if the lineup is available somewhere on here. I'm not sure if anyone knows this, but the burlesque revival really started taking off in New Orleans when my friend Lorelei Fuller formed the Shim Shamettes at a club I DJed at, the Shim Sham. A lot of burlesque performances these days use pre-recorded music but the Shim-Shamettes used a live band who performed the kind of music that burlesque was historically known for. They also had a comedian come out between sets and crack jokes, just like the burlesque shows of bygone days. Lorelei followed this by setting up the first Tease-O-Rama in New Orleans. This introduced a new generation to the art form and Dita Von Teese was one of the many later famous performers to do their act at the Shim Sham. I don't think Lorelei gets enough credit for really kick-starting the burlesque revival into full throttle.
