I don't know if I've mentioned in this journal how much fall means to me, how much I adore it. I grew up an autumn child. Maybe it's the September birthday thing. My sister is a fall baby too. We were such a fall family. We took part in every fall tradition, loyally. We stuffed scarecrows, we took hayrides, we picked our own pumpkins, we got lost in corn mazes., we raked leaves and then jumped in them. Every time fall comes aruond again, I feel a desperate desire to recreate my childhood. Which is what I convinced Jason to let me do yesterday. We went to a punkin farm, hunted and found our own, took a hayride, and I took him through his first ever corn maze. As a child, these things were terrifying. I have a distinct memory of them. The stalks seemed so high back then. They somehow still do.
