Am I the only one who thinks that Confessions of a Wallflower isn't the best book ev4r omgomgomg?
Even when I was the target audience, I still thought it read like angsty, contrived, heavy-handed Catcher In The Rye fanfiction.
Just had to get that one out there.

I enjoyed it until I DID read The Catcher In the Rye. Salinger was so hardcore.

I haven't read it, and I never liked Catcher in the Rye. The first time I read it I didn't understand what he was complaining about. (I was too young.) I was all like "get over yourself" when I read it in high school and was old enough to understand what he was whining about.
