Sorry that is has been so long since I have written. For the past few weeks I have been away with family and no where near computers. So here's my update:
Week 5: I was coming dangerously close to running out of my Metformin so I started calling my doctor everyday trying to get a refill. I was doing well, I had dropped down to 180 lbs, but I was getting worried. My family is in New York so I wasn't exactly close to home if I ran out. So the days continued, I continued to worry and then before I knew it the next week came around and I ran out of my meds.
Week 6: I thought that getting used to the meds was a bad experiance, but comming off of them was horrible. I started trying twice a day to get my doctor to order a refill with no luck while going through withdrawls. Shakes, sweats, vomiting . . . I got really sick really fast. To top it off I managed to gain 10 lbs!!! I went all the way past my starting weight to 190 lbs. It was one of the worst experiances my body has been through in a long time. So, on a good day I drove the 550 miles back to North Carolina to try and get my meds in person.
Week 7: So after a week of hell, and a nice, long conversation with patient administration, I got my med problem fixed and I'm getting back on track. My weight is back down to 186 lbs and although my body is still going a little crazy I should be feeling like normal next week, maybe?
