You know, I've been thinking about it since Just Fucked went up into MR...
It's really surreal for me to read all these amazingly sweet comments and messages from everyone!
Growing up, I was awkward and geeky (introverted, super skinny, no boobs or hips, absolutely un-stylish), and for the most part I think I just went unnoticed. Still, in my day-to-day life I do nothing to garner attention from anyone (I put almost no effort into my daily appearance beyond taking a shower...). I'm still rather shy, quiet and socially awkward, but I'm much less self-conscious about that fact these days than I was in the past. I've embraced who I am and I'm comfortable with myself. I think I have a reasonable level of self-esteem and self-worth, but I don't think I'm any more "exceptional" than any other woman. I get in front of the camera because it's a fun outlet for me to show who I am inside, not because I think I'm so hot everyone should have the pleasure of looking at me.
Sooo... to get the reaction that I've gotten from so many SGers is just... astounding. It's nice to be noticed, it's nice to be appreciated. And it just plain makes me feel really good to read what you all have to say. So, thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your love and support. Seriously.
And, if I ever go pink... I will use some of the dollars to...
A. Be a little selfish and reward myself with more ink (Want tattoos!)
and, MUCH more importantly,
B. Advance my efforts in a personal project as an ally in working toward social equality for the LGBT(etc.) community.
All my love,
Mere
