So as those of you that read my rambling dissertations about life, the universe and everything will know I've had the week off work.
So when I've not been getting more and more annoyed with my PS3 and Darksiders, which is actually a pretty good game if you can get it to a) load and b) if you can actually play it for more than 30 minutes without it freezing on you, making you want to throw the disc at the wall just for some sense of cathartic release. I've been out and about.
I went to Golden Acre Park and then promptly started to get rather annoyed at all the people that instinctively ignore signs, like the Don't feed the ducks here please sign and Please keep your dog under control at all times, dog attacks on wildlife are increasing. They're not really that hard to follow from what I can tell but then maybe I'm just a super genius. When I wasn't feeling the urge to slap ignorant people I took a few photo's.
I also went to a meet in Nottingham, after being stood on a train that wasn't moving for half an hour listening to gormless people constantly ask each other whether they were on the right train instead of just looking on the display which states quite clearly where it's going I met up with emma_treasure then we were cruising down the motorway with me going on and on about everything and anything (I don't get much opportunity for intelligent conversation) to meet up with Killa_ & DamianOmatic only to then miss the train to Nottingham, and I quote Killa_ "It's not my fault the internet lied to me". After finally getting to Nottingham and wrestling with a ticket barrier, literally in my case we met up with Rael,Sticks,Hermes,Matt_,Galda,Holley and Sharyn (who are in even more stunning in the flesh) Pit & Pendulum one of the best drinking establishments I've been it has to be said, good music and atmosphere. Kudos to Mr Sticks for his awesome cakes, seriously I might sound like a big girly girl but them cakes was good.
Rather bizarrely though the place is apparently frequented by awkward looking middle aged couples and football fans/ stag/ hen parties despite quite clearly not being a "mainstream" establishment and there being plenty of other places . In a rather impressive display of social cohesion (or the opposite depending on your point of view) though all the "alternative" types stay on one side of the place which is relatively quiet and civil and the "mainstream" types stay on the other which is loud, noisy and full of shouting people as though there is some informal territorial boundary. Some cheeky mare tried to cadge money out of us to take photo's of us , that's a new one on me as well as some rather scary woman collecting money for some charity 'cause that looks legit obviously.
Next stop was Bodega Social Club where we saw Jezabel (who is quite awe inspiring it has to be said) briefly although the place it's self was pretty awful, it was cramped, full of trendoids comparing fringes, there was nowhere to sit, it had a scary men to women ratio, played shit music very loudly and worst of all my Newcastle Brown Ale was WARM!!!! Fortunately everyone else thought the same so we quickly vacated.
After some wandering around we ended up going in some pub called Speak Easy which was actually pretty cool, a real pub ,not one of those fucking awful chain pub things that I despise with a burning hatred, with Hellboy and Tankgirl (I think) painted on the walls and a jukebox which I poured a load of money into only for my music not to come on 'til an hour later or something after listening to the likes of Jason Donovan amongst other far less memorable songs when we were about to leave (sod's law ey).
More wandering around, bought a dubious double cheeseburger and chips ( I was hungry!) off some vendor with a cowboy hat, saw some strange sights including Willy Wonka with Oompa Loompa's cheering someone on as they vomited on the street and a horde of spindly limbed blonde bints in very little clothing and ridiculous heels trying to give a statue a blowjob while some trendoid guy seriously in need of a slap took photo's.
The five of us piled into a taxi and babbled away whilst DamianOmatic somehow managed to direct the driver back to Killa_'s place despite all the drunked babbling swirling 'round. I slept on the floor whilst Sharyn and emma_treasure slept on the sofa, Sharyn fell asleep in 0.5 seconds. I didn't really thanks to a very annoying pigeon with what must've been a megaphone specially adapted for use by a species with no hands or opposable thumbs. Everyone was rather zombiefied the next day and DamianOmatic made us all a fry up whilst we watched American Psycho in a rather dazed and hungover manner, "I like to dissect girls. Did you know I'm utterly insane?"
Was an excellent weekend. Hence my epic blog since it was a big deal for me since I'm a bit of a hermit.

Honestly I feel as if I'm taking part in that weird game show ENDURANCE. Or maybe Karma is an angel in disguise and in a former life I was an epic twat and deserve to be surrounded by the specimens from the bottom of the gene pool!!!!
