I'd Like To thank My Buddies
Just thought I'd say thanks to all you folks for your comments, the last few days have been a bit rough there's a lot of noise in my cranium lately, guess I'm dealing with stuff in my head. Anyway not being one to dwell on the negative:
Gates Of Hell
So this is the delightful sight that greets me on a daily basis, I took this picture about 0700 before I started work by 0830 on most days you can't see for cars and the store doesn't even open 'til 0900, I'll never understand why people have this bizarre habit of turning up and waiting outside like they're queuing at a gig or something, I can see the sense in doing things early there's less people getting in your way but waiting for the doors to open is a little like overkill to me.
Like Flies 'Round........
This is the centre that the store is in/part of which ever you prefer, it actually looks quite pleasant in this picture but that soon changes when the hordes of brainwashed consumers start turning up and let's not forget the chavs and the mallrats ( to quote Kevin Smith) all milling around and all those chairs are filled by people that seem to just sit there for what seems like all day,add to that what must be every woman with a small child in the surrounding area all out in force with those pushchairs that are now so big I'm surprised they don't need an M.O.T and have better offroad tyres than half the bikes I see that's a lot of people. Those with a particular attention to detail will notice the sign in Next that says "Sale" which meant the carpark was half full by 0530 since the store opened at 0500, I can't say I really go there but I was under the impression that Next was kind of middle of the road in the whole clothing store scale so I really can't understand this mass stampede whenever they have a sale.
24 Hours!
Realising we had run out of bread the other day I thought I'd save my folks the hassle and went to get some from the local 24 hour Tesco (incase anyones wondering why I don't get stuff from work it's a pain carrying it on 2 bus trips) it's about 1430 when I get there and what do I find they had like 3 loaves of bread in the entire section, all the shelves were empty. I thought things at work could get pretty bad but that was just taking the piss, 24 hours and they run out at 1430 in the afternoon how crap is that. I never really go there if I can help it since it's one of those crappy stores that never seems to have what you want.
