All For One And None For All
Things at work are continuing on a somewhat downward slant, Justin King ( the head of the company) has started making "some changes for the better" according to what was in his last incredibly patronising newsletter. Apparently changes for the better somehow equates to pointless bureaucracy, exactly how filling in yet more pointless pieces of paper is going to increase sales I don't know but hey I don't get paid to think about grand plans of global domination. My friend Rich at work might be leaving to go work at another store since he's got the CTS job ( think assistant department manager) at both stores so he can chose between either, I have to say I'll be pretty sad if he goes since he's been with me the whole time I've been there. I wouldn't want his job if I was offered it I've seen how much you can get abused if you're a member of the management, never finishing on time for one. Ratfink continues to amaze us all with his astonishing lack of people skills, considering how obsessed he is with "team delivery" he has very little concept of a team being made up of individuals! now there's a shocking thought. Ratfink seems so intent on trying to control every facet of everything on the department that I'm just waiting for the crash really, I'm beginning to realise how the captain of the Titanic must have felt just after he heard the first mate shout " ICEBERG RIGHT AHEAD" that queasy feeling of inevitablility. Ratfink has this bizzare way of thinking that things should work a certain way because "it's company policy" and has no comprehension of how things really work, I don't know whether it's ignorance or sheer naive stupidity.
A great deal of my daily tasks require a handset which you use to scan things whether it's for delivery/order/stock information or to reduce something or to print out a new price ticket simply put there's not a great deal besides putting stock on shelves that you can do without a handset. In our store at the moment we have about 15 handsets now instead of doing what I would view as the sensible thing and give each department it's own handset and charger the Management in there divine wisdom decided to just put them in the office "for everybody to use" which basically means that every morning there's a mad stampede for handsets it really is something akin to a pack of Hyenas fighting over a dead animal somewhere in Africa.

So just thought I'd show you what I've read in the last few weeks, they're really good so you should check them out.
