Slightly Fucked Up If You Ask Me
So I found out today that a friend at work is supposed to be getting a disciplinary because she wrang work and told them she had to look after her kids who were both sick so she wouldn't be able to come in and I just thought how fucked up is that, like things aren't difficult enough for single parents as it is. Things like that really piss me off. Apparently if you have 3 absences in 12 months then there's an "investigation" to see why you had the time off and whether you were really ill, this is supposed to stop people skiveing which I can understand but then someone else told me she got a disciplinary for being in hospital with a kidney infection because she had 3 absences previously that year I was like what The Fuck! and what really makes me laugh is the store scoreboard, the store gets marked on 5 or 6 different things (it even has traffic lights to show how well the store is doing) one of them is "Number Of Staff Joining Our Longterm Team" unsuprisingly it's usually red. When you hear stuff like that it's not exactly a surprise people don't want to stay really is it.

take care.
Why does that sound so sad to me?
And yeah, you'd think that maybe they might think something's wrong if people don't stay a long time with the job.
