Fucking pain in the ass roadworks!
So today was my first day back at work after a week of not actually being as bored as I thought I would be. I didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn which was nice (since I'm working the evening shift). So I got into Leeds for 11:50am leaving me plenty of time to get to work for 1pm I get on the other bus at 12:00pm and set off, I figured I'll get to work and have 1/2 an hour to do whatever and then I can start. It seems this was a little too much like wishful thinking since halfway there the bus hits traffic at the roadworks which you can't actually see yet. 10 minutes later we've moved about 6 feet and I'm starting to get a bit miffed at this whole lack of motion. another 10 minutes go by and I move another 8 feet and I thought to myself if it keeps increasing at this rate I might be at work for 6pm with a bit of luck. I see a sign at the side of the road which states " We are sorry for any inconvienience caused by these highly important maintenance works" it's at this point I realise that there isn't a single person actually working on these "important maintenance works" no one anywhere to be seen. I can see a few large holes in the ground and several vehicles but there's nobody around. After what seems like an eternity I finaly arrive at my destination only to realise it's now 12:55pm and I don't time to get any of the stuff I wanted to get and I only just get to work on time.
