Prepare yourself for OPERATION PROJECT JOURNAL UPDATE VERSION 11.26.2007!!
Man. Life has it's foot firmly planted on my balls....and I like it! Sort of. A series of seemingly random events have converged to create the most stressful and satisfying time of my life. The stress sucks, but all the things that are pressuring me are awesome to the max.
First off. I'm getting married. In the spring. This coming spring. We had to move the date up for reasons I have no intention of telling you. Don't ask. Consequently this leaves me four(ish) months to plan out a full wedding. The burden is high, but it's a load well worth carrying.
Next!! Maibey and I are both moving in with SmellsLikeSciFi sometime between Christmas and New Years. Short notice indeed, but an opportunity arose that is well worth the taking. Soon I will be sharing a mailing address, silverware, a living room, but not a bedroom (sorry dude...Megan Copenhagen has dibs on me), with one totally cool cat. Shenanigans will abound!
Big finish!! After four months of begging and annoying my boss has finally produced results. She finished my review. If all goes well there should be a hefty raise in my future. Chicks are expensive, (sorry sweetheart), so the money will come in handy. Last week I had an interview with a company that contracts for Boeing, who in turn contracts for NASA. If I get that job I will basically hold the lives of everyone on the International Space Station in the palms of my hands. How cool is that? So...on the one hand I have a large raise with my current employer, and on the other I have a potential job where I make it possible for people live in space. My life rules.
ENVY ME!!
------------------------
Addendum:
It's official. As of December 17th I will be coding for the Space Station.
"Now witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational battlestation!"
