Someone keeps trying to hack into my companies Unix box from a server in Korea. So far (s)he hasn't breached out server yet, but whoever it is has tried several times. I can't help but think this person either isn't very good, or not very determined because (s)he isn't trying all that hard. I have never personally tried hacking into a server, I've never had any real desire to try. Regardless...I know enough that if I wanted to I probably could.
Chances are whoever this is isn't actually Korean. They probably managed to hack a username on a Korean server, logged in there, and is trying to hack us from their server. Fact of the matter is, we can't legally compel them to help us find this dude, and they probably wouldn't cooperate anyway. Still...it's a smart way of staying undetected.
