Well i take the plane tuesday morning, was ok, i get to monterrey around 10 am, i go to the hotel, with is great because is in front of the "Parque Fundidora" and a few blocks from the arena where the concert was. so i have time to spends so i decided go to Horno 3, a museum inside Fundidora and was really cool, have all this items they use years ago, lot of interactive contents, and even videos like the ones of Troy maclure of the simpsons
, and u get to see all the structures, really great
Then i decided just to go a few other museums inside fundidora, was a photo expo, really good pics, most journalistic work , dont remember th photographer name sorry, a paint expo of several artist, the paint were of mexican traditional toys.
And last i go to two expositions one of "Gafriel Figueroa" cinematographer, is work was director of photograpy of several mexican movies, very famous, he was the first one thta did a studio to Maria Felix, he work with a lot of talets of the time, really good, also was some vintage posters. And the other expo was of "Teotihuacan", several objets and interactive stuff, make me fell proud of my roots.
And well the concert, its started at 8 p.m., i get to the arena around 6:30, theres was line already, like 7 p.m. they start opening doors, i didn't get the camera because i have told that they don't admit nothing, i was kinda disappointed, so i get sit, nice view, but what i don't understand how people was on floor level paid less, but well, at the time i saw people with cameras so i was like wtf?, i ask and they told me they allow "normal" digital cameras, but no professionals or video ones, damn, so was 7:30 an i decided go for the camera, the otel was some blocks away so i run, i feel like the movie run lola run, but i was run menny run lol
, so y get the camera and back like in 10 minutes, STP start like 8:30, sound great, they play all the classic song of course, and in a song scott use a "santo" mask, and at the end the say a little speech, play like 1 and a half hour.
And then NIN, one of my favorite bands, they star hard and loud 999,000 and then 1,000,000, when they came out people get crazy, then discipline, and start march of the pigs and was insane, trent pulling off the mic base and at the end Robin the guitar player get trapped with trent mic wire, so trent pull it and rob hit the floor, look cool, i mean was not something bad or he got injure, but looks great because the energy, they play head down, and reptile was amazing, all green visuals, and then closer, the most now song, gave up, and then they use other visual to play the good soldier, and the play some ghost songs, also the visual were great, they look kinda in layers, then play piggy kinda acoustic slow don version, then other ghosts song, kinda 3d graphics pretty cool, then trent with a light kinda erase the screen looks amazing, play wish and was pretty cool, Rob get in a amplifier and play, then i dont remember some songs, but they played survivalism, and in only the graphics open when trent come to the screen looks amazing
, then play the hand that fees, with a george w. bush pic that turn into a Jonh macain one, then play head like a hole, again all the people singing, and kinda little pause the nin logo on red on the screen looks awesome
, Echoplex, and trent give thanks for the show and everything, and then god given, and for the end Hurt, witch was like the top moment, and this twilight , and one to one were saying good bye, and end around 12:30 p.m., really great show
, i just sleep some hours take a plane and im home again, i have back to work but very happy, here are some pics i take and a video of STP, ill update a NIN soon, see u later
