Some times things just don't go as you want it to go. Lately my dream to be working as a designer seems to be maybe something i need to let go for now. I worked for over 1,5 year at home and things where going really great. But sadly things don't go as i thought they would regarding clients and getting some money in. No no there isn't any panic yet, but i might need to find a Job in the mean time and try doing things in my own time again, untill i have enough work to do to make this my living again. I am not letting go of the dream, but when you are close to waking up you might need to dream another time when you are comfertable in your bed again.
Anyway, sometimes it happeneds like today when you try your best to work, you just can't wrap your head around it no matter how much you try (for the geeks: this is about habing a problem with sculpted maps and how it falls on the sculpted prim in the sl client)
Instead of getting frustrated or giving up, I just take a break and go to my flickr page and look at photo's from my backpack adventure in Cambodia and Thailand. Somehow when i look at the photo's, i feel that whole experience and it just makes me humble and relaxed, knowing the things i do have and that i really can not complain and how much i miss it. (just hard to explain the experience if you have never been there)
So i stumbled across this photo and suddenly realised the whole story behind it.
My buddy Wim and I where leaving Phnom penh (Cambodia) to go back to Thailand before i would leave.( He lives there now).
Anyway, we thought it was a brilliant idea to get a haircut in Phnom Penh and so we did. While he was first he asked me, Menno make sure he doesn't cut my neck area to high.
Offcourse buddy, and i made sure the barber knew how far he could trim his neck.
Then it was my turn, and I asked Wim the same and he nodded his head, saying it was going to be fine. I should have known the fucker when i saw that evil smirk. The result?
The hairline in my neck was trimmed as high as my ears lol.
Brilliant!
