It was a fairly bizarre day yesterday.
First of all, since I'm now unemployed, it was my first Saturday off in about twelve years. You just don't get Saturdays off in retail.
When I woke up yesterday, I had a horrible tooth ache. Not the cavity kind, but I bruised a tooth from grinding. Stress may have something to do with that. A call to the dentist got me a perscription for Vicodin ES. (Yay!) Anyway, I feel better today.
So then, I'm cleaning my house, and I get a phone call from my mother. Apparently, a girl she knows was delivering a wedding cake to a hall which is nearby my house. She was about a mile from the hall when a car pulled out in front of her, cut her off, and she stopped short. Guess what happened to the poor wedding cake? So they show up at my place with this cake, and this girl was in tears. The cake was disintigrated, and I thought there was no way in hell that it could be fixed. Two hours, and a shitload of icing later, the cake was repaired, and actually looked pretty good. Now, I'm upset that I didn't get any pictures.
The night finished with empathy_girl and I laying on the slope of our front lawn in the grass, staring up at the full moon, and all the passing clouds. It was almost surreal, but very beautiful. Again, should've got some pics. Oh well.
So I wonder what kind of unemployed adventures are in store for me today?
Ha! I found this pic of me today while I was cleaning. This was my first bike, training wheels and all. It was 1977, and I was 5 years old.
Word of the day to learn:
ubiquitous Pronunciation Key (y-bkw-ts) adj.-
Being or seeming to be everywhere at the same time; omnipresent
