Last night, I went to a birthday dinner for an old friend. While the resturaunt was nice, and the food was good, I found myself among a bunch of strangers. Usually, this would be a great chance to meet some new people, but I just felt a little out of sorts. There's that moment when you realize you just don't have much in common with the present company. I spent the evening clenching a very tall Sam Adams draft, and probably drank too many of those. I was graceful in my exit at the end of the meal, and then walked down to the train tracks to watch graffiti on passing trains while I sobered up enough to drive home. Kind of a depressing night....

I feel like that a lot especially when I am amongst people who do not know how to operate the English language. I watched my boss get a lesson from one of my other coworkers the on the differences between do, dew, and due. I have a friend that does not realize that 'suposably' is not a real work. I have another friend who does not know how to spell the name of her own cat. I feel like there is a shortage of intelligence in the world today. Even the President of the United States cannot speak worth a damn and he was elected because the majority of the people in this country don't notice. Sorry, I just had to rant for a moment. I hope you are doing well.
