I came out of work tonight to find my vehicle covered with snow. The only problem was that I did not have a snow scraper in my car. It's kind of unbelivable that this is our first snowfall with significant accumilation. Here in Pittsburgh, we're supposed to get 2-4 inches tonight, and another couple tomorrow for Thanksgiving.
So how am I spending Thanksgiving? Well, it's going to start out with a very snowy mountain bike ride in the woods, of course. We have a group ride getting together in the morning for a few hours of fun before family time. Speaking of family, after my ride, I'm going to do my best to tolerate my in-laws for a while before heading to my parents. It's going to require some xanax washed down with some beers, I'm afraid.
Well, I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving. Watch sports, eat turkey, drink alcohol...whatever you have to do. Just remember everything you have to be thankful for, and try to enjoy the company you're in.
And so it begins...the stress of the holiday season is upon us. It won't be over soon enough.
UPDATE
I'm going to make up some wordsto describe my ride today. It was the snowiest, muddiest, falligest, coldest, most blustery, snot producing, and funnest ride I've ever had. There were about 30 people on the ride. It was wonderful!
