@Dhyani,
How were you first introduced to SuicideGirls?
If I remember correctly (it’s been a long time), I was doing some research on the web and encountered an ad for the movie “SuicideGirls Must Die!” and I was like, wait a minute, what exactly is a SuicideGirl?? So I looked up the SG website and when I heard their philosophy: “Whatever other people think makes us strange, weird, or fucked up, we think makes us beautiful. This is our idea of beauty redefined,” I was hooked.

How did you come up with your SG name?
I wanted to choose a name reflective of myself and which would also remind me to remember why I’m here (in the universe) at all. “Dhyani” is a Hindustani word exoterically meaning “one who contemplates” or “a master of contemplation.” Esoterically, it means something far more profound. As my spirituality is the most important thing in my life, I chose that name to remind me not to forget that even when I’m caught up in the world of egos, materialism, sexuality, and general distraction that one can find on SG.
How long have you been an SG member?
I first joined SG a couple of years before the 2013 redesign. When the redesign occurred, I wasn’t happy with it initially and I left for several months, but I came back after I received an invite from SG. Somehow, when they said they missed me, it seemed genuine rather than just an advertisement.

What do you do for fun in real life?
😁 A little over 18 months ago I decided to blend my multifaceted creative skills and live the dream I had when I was little: to become a movie producer. Since Halloween 2021 I’ve been working on making my first film, and baby, it’s been the most fun I’ve ever had in my life - even though it’s occasionally frustrating, exhausting, and expensive. It’s also amazing, consciousness-expanding, and extremely satisfying.
Have you met anyone from SG in real life?
Yes, in fact I met my boyfriend here on SG. 👩❤️💋👨 I also attended a Blackheart Burlesque show.
~
What do you want people to know about you?
I am all about love. Romantically speaking, that means I’m bisexual and I open to having a relationship with another woman again after the end of a LTR. On a higher level, that means that I am always seeking to express the love that is constantly welling up from inside whether through compliments, compassion, encouragement, and general support. A life lived through love is highly empowering. 💗
What is your favorite feature on SuicideGirls.com?
I haven’t been as active as I used to be, but I think my favorite feature on SG is the Groups. It gives the SG community a place to discuss things they love and sensitive topics in a positive environment. I also love that there are no icons for negative emotions on the site, like those on FB. When you are on SG, you come to give love, that’s it. 💗
Do you have a favorite photoset? Why or why not?
LOL, I have many, as most. @Fishball’s “The Possession” is an artistic tour de force in B&W. However, my favorite set at the moment is @Eirenne’s “Morticia.” It features amazing low light photography, a sexy motorcycle, and Eirenne, herself. It’s a perfect balance of things that I love.

What do you love most about being a part of the SG community?
The general feeling of positivity on every page of the site. Many sites aspire to have a similar feeling, but fail to deliver. I love that I can give a Hopeful or an SG a compliment without others becoming jealous (or at least acting as if they are). I love that people see the beauty in tattoos, piercings, and colorful hair that I do, so I feel like I belong. I especially love how the Hopefuls and SGs are constantly giving so much of their own love through the hard work it takes their sets.
How often do you visit the site?
Not as often as I should! Usually at least every other day, sometimes every day. There are always new sets to see and blogs to read, but I have limited time. Making a movie is a BIG job.
Who are your favorite SuicideGirls and/or SG Hopefuls?
It seems almost discriminatory to choose favorite SGs or Hopefuls, all of them are worthy of so much love. But, we all have our biases, and I have mine. If it’s not already apparent, black girls tend to be at the top of my list, however, my favorites haven’t been selected simply because they are physically beautiful. If an SG or Hopeful has found her way into my heart, it’s because she has proven herself even more beautiful through her kindness, positivity, promotion of the community, and setting a great example for those girls who haven’t found the courage to express themselves through beautiful pictures. A few of my favorites are @Midnight, @Star, @AmandaTea, @Eirenne, @Milloux, @Rare, @Olgakulaga, @Marlene, @Romany, @Mousse, and many more, some of whom are archived.

If you could share a meal with 3 people from the site, who would you choose?
I’m going to be very specific in this case: I would love to meet with @Missy, @Midnight, and @Eirenne at a fun L.A. restaurant that’s quiet enough where we can actually have an intimate conversation. I would love to hear more from Missy about the origins of SG, itself as well to learn more about where it’s headed. I’d love to hear Eirenne’s perspective on being a staff member as well as an SG, and I would love to hear Midnight’s psychoanalytical perspective on SG as a forum of self-expression. It would be even more fun to have a big party after a concert where I could meet more than 3 and have some real fun!
Who is your SG Bestie(s)?
I’m not sure if I have one, in the true sense of the word. I’ve known several SGs over the years who have been very kind to me, or with whom I’ve shared some intimate conversations. @Chroi, @Romany, @Star, @Mousse, and @AmandaTea are examples. @Rare has always been one of my biggest supporters, and @Marlene once gave me a compliment so wonderful that made me cry. But over time we’ve all gone our way like ships in the night.
Do you have a dream SG set you hope to see happen one day? (Models, theme, location, etc.)
At this point I do! Once my movie has been released, I would love to see a set based the movie itself with SGs playing the roles of some of the characters. There are five women in the movie who have romantic dynamics that could make a seriously HOT set. However, since I am now animating the film myself, I could also create an SG-esque set. But it wouldn’t be anywhere near as fun to see the hidden tattoos come out from under the conservative clothes of the 1920s!

What part of the site do you visit the most?
The front page; how else can I see the Set of the Day! 💗
