just got back from california. first i saw my nephew in merced, and in case anyone is wondering, he is the cutest baby ever. EVERRR. except my niece, who comes pretty close, but i didn't get to see her.
then i went to downey to take my teacher certification tests. the first one required a moderate amount of effort. i'm just pissed i even studied for it. i spent hours poring over piaget's theory of development and maszlow's hierarchy of needs only to get a test that was only slightly more demanding than a.p. english. then i took the liberal arts and sciences test. which took forever but i think i got 100%. overall about 8 hours of testing. then dinner and 12 hours of sleeping.
then i spent the past 2 days watching reality tv. meh, why not. i hung out with my friend at ucla yesterday, and my friend who was down from seattle visiting l.a. drove me to the airport today.
and now i'm watching carson (only because it's on after conan, not because i like him. at all). and it's ironic because it's filmed in burbank, which is where i hung out earlier today. and these guys came in pretending to be on spring break, and carson asked why they were in burbank and not cancun. and they said, "spring break isn't a place, it's a state of mind. a state where your mind is drunk!!!" i can dig it.
then i guess some guy ran through security at sea-tac, because when i got off the plane there were lights flashing everywhere. then i had to wait in a line to get out of the airport. that was a new experience. but now i'm home, back to my messy ass room and lots of homework. huzzah.
