Have you ever taught anything? If you have you know the feeling you get when your student finally gets it.
I co-teach a belly dance class in San Leandro on Monday nights and we split the class up between beginner and intermediate students, I usually teach the intermediate students but tonight I took the beginners.
I had two students who just haven't gotten it at all. After weeks they were still struggling with the basic moves and tonight they finally got them. It took a lot of work and explaining and moving their bodies for them but they GOT IT!
I was soooooo happy and they were sooooo happy and they totally thanked me for taking the time to work with them. And I gave them a workout which doesn't always happen with beginners so they were happy to sweat
After tonight I feel like a good teacher
I teach a Wednesday night class that is less than a month old that's a little slow. I now feel motivated to brainstorm ways to get more students
Also I think I want to teach another class :o I may be teaching 3 nights a week soon
I love it when things go well
Do you have any experiences teaching? How did it make you feel?

I like teaching. My problem with it is that I give the learner too many ways to think about something. Like when one way isn't working, you have to try another approach. But when I'm putting forward the next approach, the other person is still trying on the first one so they get confused. I think I'm a decent teacher but I lack some patience.
