well..i'm back again. i just got my loan money which means i'll be back for a long long time. AND my new roomie is probably going to split the cost with me(which is even better).
I moved away from Columbus in November to go back to school. I moved in with my mom in Mentor Ohio. I DID NOT GROW UP THERE. It proved too difficult to live with my mother. SO....after getting one semester of classes under my belt (that was my THIRD college) I decided to move to Akron, I didn't grow up in Akron either....BUT...I have a small, but wonderful group of friends here. I have an awesome roommate, Becky, and things are going really great at this moment!!! I found a job banquet serving within two weeks of moving here, but I'm still looking for a library job. I need to apply to Akron U. this week, so I can take a full courseload in the fall.
Previously, when I lived in Columbus, my grades were pretty poor the last two quarters I went to school. Lots of bad things happened to me. However, my grades at Lakeland were pretty damn good
If it weren't for math I probably would have had over a 3.5...but I got a C in math, which brought my GPA down to a 3.08....not too shabby though, and I'm actually quite proud that I got a C. I'm not taking the other math course I need until my last few semesters of school. I have no idea how much more schooling I need, since I changed my major when I moved. English just wasn't for me. I love history so that's what I changed it to.
As far as my love life goes, it's pretty much non-existent....I've learned to pour all of that into my schoolwork
There is a boy i'm quite interested here in Akron, and I've been looking at him for a few months now. I'm not a stalker!! I SWEAR!! we were formally introduced a few weeks ago, but no conversation ensued. I'm much too shy, and there were 7 people standing around and he was on the other side of the group. OH WELL. I guess he thought I was pretty cute, but he's just as shy as I am. GOD.. nothing will ever get accomplished!! I just hope it won't be a let down once he opens his mouth
SOOO... life is good right now. really good. i'm happy, fairly healthy (i've lost about 15 lbs. since leaving columbus) but...i've obviously started to go out more now.....which means, on top of the HARD HARD workout I get at my job, I need to start hitting the gym everyday.
My classes are online and I don't have to work for another week, which means...i have NOTHING but freetime!!! these two classes are going to take up a good portion of my time, though. One's a history class and the other is a cultural anthropology class....both very heavy on reading.
Plans for the weekend?? Friday or saturday night, there's a wonderful show at the lime spider...my friends band called BEAST is playing.....so....i'll be heading to that. Saturday I have to go back to my dads house. His girlfriends daughter is having her graduation party. AND , it's fathers day on sunday, so I need to give my dad his gift
I need to chill instead of going out so much. I guess it's the fact that I just moved here, and I get to see my best friend almost everyday.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my roommate works a lot and takes classes as well, so we'll both probably stop going out every night.
