Picking a favorite is extremely difficult for me, though I'm going to have to say Sopranos. The writing and the acting was just phenomenal. I've watched it through several times and have forcibly made others watch it as well. Seriously, if you're my friend IRL and you ask me for a recommendation and I say, "Sopranos" and you don't follow through on watching it, I will sit your ass down and make you watch it until you're invested. I cried the day James Gandolfini died. *Pops in the DVD after feeling an intense need to watch it for the hundredth time*
Other honorable mentions go to: Game of Thrones (UNNNF NEW SEASON SOON), Mad Men, South Park, Archer, Metalocalypse, The Wire, and Battlestar Galactica, Nana, and Wolf's Rain.
I seriously NARROWED that list down. I'm a series junky. I'll take a series over a movie any day.
