After only 2 days my (most) recent venture into vegetarianism is already losing steam. at least 6 times i have walked up to my refridgerator, opened the door and stood there for 10 minutes or more thinking..."what the fuck do i eat?" Clearly, there are tons of foods that dont contain meat, so i feel like i shouldnt be having that problem after only 2 days. But many meatless foods are snack foods, and when i get my time-for-dinner craving for 'real' food, its getting hard to find entrees that are both animal and appetite friendly. I think its time to go grocery shopping...but for what i dont know.
This is pretty troubling to me, because i really beilive in what i'm trying to do, and i would eventually love to be able to cut out all animal products completely. I would be extremely proud of myself if i could do that successfully in a healthy way. That goal, however, is quite far into the distance at this point in time seeing as im having such a hard time creating meatless meals as is.
I plan to go shopping tommorow to find some new favorites, plus my parents have been hounding me that i'm not going to get enough protein. So, hopefully i'll come home soon with dishes to make both of us happy.
