Love Songs For The Unloved!
For the ones out there that don't know the skinhead subculture I must admit that we're pretty scary to most... In the years that I've been a skin things have changed in the way I feel towards the scene. I started as a redskin in the late 80's (around 1987) in Paris where we would roam the streets to find neo-nazis & give them a sure beating. These bastards were going to through the subway tunnels looking for foreigners as victims of their assault.
Politics have never been a part of the scene & this is something that I had completely ignored in that time since I was a teenager. The later years I left the politics behind me due to the way it was destroying our scene. There were constant battles between right & left at concerts. This made many of the concert organizers think twice before planning a next oi/punk gig.
I am & will stay a Trojan Skin (traditional skinhead) for the rest of my life. Something about the tradition keeps this faith burning in my 'skinhead' heart. We are a bunch of trouble makers most of the time when people try to confront us. We will never back down since we have the influence from the rude boys still attached to our subculture.
A trojan skin will listen to the old Jamaican music & oi! music. This is a must since our culture began in the 60's at a time that West Indies Imigrants & English working class youth came together to dance to the music which brought them together.
Remember that a real skinhead cannot be a racist & a racist cannot be a skinhead. We call the shaved ones who hijacked our scene 'boneheads' due to the fact that knowing where the roots of the subculture is black & white. If you treat a skinhead with respect then you will get the respect back!
It's a way of life!!!
And hell yeah, racists never will be skinheads!!
