Hmm.. time to update? I doubt anyone wants to share in my anxiety on a few topics.. The last two nights though, tattoos have come up. One of the guys I know at work was planning to get one soon, and two other guys I know are phobic of needles... the one has been wanting one for years, the other says he'll probably get one eventually. I was going to take my best friend with me to get my one redone (since that's apparently what you do with tribalish ones), just so he would see that it isn't so bad.. then I found out it was scarred and they won't redo it. It looks kind of tie-dyed, so I guess it's interesting? better than whining about it.
So yes.. mine aren't nearly as interesting as some I've seen. They mostly have something behind them though. And since I work in offices and stuff, I keep them small.. I got my first one almost 6 years ago (a week or so off).. was right after I left my ex, and I'd had this image of a black rosebud in my head since ending my previous "relationship".. I didn't have a drawing though, and was drawn to a blue rose partially opened.. I had to have the thorn and blood added. Yes, flowers - especially roses - are typically girly, but it did have some meaning, and so did the change in the rose. I went to the place in town that seemed cleanest, and didn't offer ways for me to lower the price. I ended up with ink poisoning, and it's directly over my hip joint, which would suck enough, without having a big move shortly following. I also found out that I bleed more than is normal, and get tremors from the vibrations. 15 months later, I got the dragon on my back, with the kanji symbol for Dream as the body.. that was self designed. That bled a LOT.. it's right over my 7th vertibrae (the big bump) and the blood was an inch or two down my jeans, my shirt thoroughly drenched. Since scarring usually means they went too deep or over it too many times, that makes sense now. Despite these problems, I still got the third one.. my angel and devil kitties. Sadly, they were too small, and the guy omitted some lines and went too thick over some. No other problems (unless you count the "friend" I made.. getting my head stuck between two electrical boxes while being cornered counts as a problem, yah? just not the same type)
That last one was almost 3 years ago, and after spending almost 2 hours waiting for my piercer kinda-friend to show up at the shop a month or two back, I ended up finding another one. I won't get it for a while still, but yah, kinda itching.. This one will most likely be an arm cuff, so a little more obvious than my other ones. And since I've had mine in AZ, PA, and NY, will see if I can get the next one in ON... if I do it with my best friend, that would work.
Anyway, this is my story. Long, as usual. I do find tattoos, and any stories or reasons, interesting.. so anyone who wants to share back? even if it's something still in the planning stage.

Yup, every time I start thinking about getting a tatoo done I hear another horror story and end up putting it off again. Well thanks for being this months excuse anyway . I'm ink free at the moment but I have some friends that can only be described as human canvases. If you want I can around about any decent artist in the area.
