Thanks to everyone who wished me luck with the car (or cursed the mechanic).. I got it back today, and it's moving much more happily. Still no clue about some other issues with it, but I have a new axle and my trip is still on.
I have to do laundry and pack still (though I'm not sure of everything I'm packing yet).. I also have to get the place prepped to leave the kitties alone for a couple days. Sayuri is staring me down as I think about that one..... Am also not feeling too good... pain, sleep deprivation, and working too many hours. So I think I'm gonna grab a quick nap while my stuff's in the washer. Probably won't work, but it's good to have goals, right?

I don't suppose anyone can suggest a local hairdresser? Mine is officially fired. We had some (colouring) issues over the summer, but I figured it would be fine to go in for a trim, just before pictures. Thursday she did it all choppy, but I couldn't tell in the shop.. I lost 2" though, which was much more than it should have been. I went in today to even it out, and I see the choppiness is still there, and I lost another 2".. My hair grows really slowly, and I didn't want to lose the length. I also don't get what's up with the chunks, or why evening out the long bits that stuck out made everything else get so short. So much for a decent mood.

the whole mechanic thing--i don't deal with people who don't ask thorough questions and listen to me. same with doctors. its not worth it.
as far as hair people, you probably don't want to go all the way to the places i know, considering one is "shear madness" in lockport, and the other is "exclusive image" in cheektowaga. chris at shear madness rocks, so does roseanne at exclusive image.
you know, the cats always know when you're going to be gone for any length of time...
I got a really bad do after my car accident (the reason why my back is screwed). I needed the lenght gone, because of the weight of it pulling on my neck and hurting me because of nerve damage. I cried. My hair was almost 3 feet long before the accident. She was supposed to cut it to my shoulders and dye it black, blue, and purple... I got chin length and brown and orange stripes! The only thing I can do for my back is see a chiropractor, I am allergic to the shots.
Have fun away, hope the kitties don't tear the place up in your absence. Mine are known to do so when I am gone.
