ok another recipe for thanksgiving and xmas festivities!
cranberry walnut relish
12 ounces of fresh cranberries
3/4 cup sugar
1 12 ounce jar of orange marmalade
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
3/4 cup of chopped walnuts
preheat oven to 350 degrees. place cranberries in a shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish. sprinkle with sugar, cover with aluminum foil, and bake for 35 minutes.
remove from oven and sprinkle with walnuts. re-cover with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes.
remove from oven and stir in orange marmalade and lemon juice. mix well. cool to room temperature. cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
i do make this just about every year since my ex-mother-in-law made it. it is soooooooo good.
i certainly hope someone tries this. it is awesome!
