I had a very good day yesterday. I did some volunteer work. I went to a rural town and helped an elderly lady by cleaning up her yard. there were 5 of us. Lisa and I drove separately as she wanted to go to the local drive-in for fruit slushes and burgers. We met up with our co-workers and got to work after our detour through "Children of the Corn" country. The lady had LOADS of weeding to be done. I went to the smaller yard and everyone else went to the bigger yard. I think that I had the right idea. Surveying the damage today, I had WAY fewer bug bites and scratches than everyone else. I did encounter a few spiders and I think that I have a spider bite. The lady was SO appreciative, i was very glad to have done every bit of tiring work there. On the way back, Lisa went directly home and I rode back in the company car with my co-workers. It was a great experience and one that I needed desperately. I realized that I had so much in common with my co-workers. Out of the 4 women in the car, 3 were splitting from their significant others. One was on the verge of getting married and found out after 12 years together that he was cheating. She had to move out of the house that they had bought and move into an apartment with her daughter. She was struggling and needs a second job. The other woman was divorcing. Her husband was bi-polar and untreated and she had found out that he was cheating on her. She expressed her fears of being on her own and having to learn to do EVERYTHING for herself. I have complete faith in her though. She is pretty sassy. I was impressed. When she found out that he was cheating, she used his credit card and hired a private investigator. She learned ALL the info about the other woman, but HE had to pay for it! AWESOME!
Anyway, I need a mineral bath desperately and I am SUPER worried about someone right now. Tired and worried is not a good combination.
