I almost got doored twice today. Once leaving home and another time coming back home.
I saw a cyclist powering up a hill and was amazed to see that he had a lit cigarette between his lips. Even more amazing was when, at a red light, took three long drags of his cig before speeding off at the light change. This city still has a lot to show me and much for me to discover.
The downtown core is bananas. Not in a good way. Again, it makes riding your bike or taking any form of transportation a real pain. It gets worse as the overall temperature rises with humidity not far behind
F1 weekend is around the corner and all the festivities associated with it are in full swing. There's also Les Francofolies de Montral happening at the same time. I think there is a period during the month of June where a ridiculous amount of "major" events occur at once.
I was supposed to go see another Roller Derby game this weekend but got asked by a friend of mine to help him out on a photo gig he has during the F1 weekend. I'm psyched. I was supposed to bring my little sister to the game but I'll have her tag along for the F1 instead. Rain is predicted but I think otherwise.
Had my second mid-term today. Another wake-up call. REALLY need to focus more. Next and final mid-term is in two weeks.
And finally, I need to learn how to read again. Today after my mid-term I raced home and inhaled my dinner so I'd have enough time to help out a friend who is moving back to the city. She'd sent out an email detailing what would be done, the date, time and location of all events. I'd quickly skimmed through the email. Long story short, I ended up looking like a real idiot standing in front of her new place wondering why she wasn't answering her phone or her door. Instead of her moving on June 9th it was scheduled for July 9th. In french June and July both start with the same first three letters (Juin/June Juillet/July).
Until Next!
