I guess it's about time I give my followers (All 5000 of you) a little insight on what's what with me and my surroundings.
So, after a few months of "arduous" searching, I finally have a job. Surprisingly it's at the same company I thought didn't want me due to their lack of response for over two weeks. I started my three week training on the 21st and am happy to say that it's looking promising.
As of late I've been taking pictures here and there. Mostly of events and parties I attend. These pictures were noticed by a friend of a friend of mine who owns a kind of "artistic promotion" company. Simply put, I'll be going on my first photo gig in mid July for the Just for Laughs festival. There is still a meeting or two for me to attend where "salary" and other details will be discussed. Honestly, it wouldn't even bother me if they didn't pay me. I'm all for the experience.
On another note, there's something that just "recently" bothered me.
A little historical background is required to explain it better.
A few months ago, let's say December 27th 2009, a bunch of friend of mine were having our annual gift exchange party. This party was taking place, for the second year in a row, at my mom's place. Our regular group of friends were attending plus a few extras we weren't properly acquainted to. One of these friends of a friend was a girl who I believed to be quite attractive and very interesting. This being true having exchanged a few words (4 hour conversation) with her. As time progressed, weeks+months, we both attended other such events and activities organized by mutual friends and I grew fond of her. In my utter lack of maturity, at the time, I made it known through a mutual friend of hours that I liked her. Long story short, it never worked out. It was only later as we were talking that she made it known to me about my level of immaturity when it came to revealing my feelings for her. That put her off indefinately. Not to mention she didn't have any physical or romantic intention towards me.
We spoke about a few times and became clear on our friendly situation. NOTHING would ever happen between us. EVER. I accepted that and moved on.
Since then many things occured in her life that have risen her stress level. I, "good" friend that I am, was there with a patient ear to listen, interpret and comment on her roller coaster life. Had I know that by doing so would bolster a feeling of invasion, I would have refrained from ever picking up the phone or answering her text messages.
Basically, her she was telling me in her email that there was no chance in hell in us becoming anything more than friends. I KNEW THAT ALREADY! I had learned from my previous mistakes and wasn't about to make them again, specially not with her knowing the kind of person she is. It's "sad" that it came to this. People around me have continuously been telling me that friendship between a girl and a guy is impossible and that one of the two would develop feelings for the other. I won't dispute the fact that I DID develop feelings for her but that was before I wanted to be friends with her. Then again, every person has their way of courting the opposite (or same) sex. But in the end, why is it so "difficult".
There's a lot more I could write about this situation seeing as I've omitted an encyplopedia's worth of information on this girl and my self.
That's it for now.
Until next!
